Brewers Rising Star Jacob Misiorowski Takes the League by Storm

Jacob Misiorowski is a young, right-handed starting pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers. On May 8, 2026, pitching against the New York Yankees, Misiorowski threw the seven fastest pitches by a starting pitcher since 2008, and it looks like he is not slowing down.

Misiorowski was born on April 3, 2002, in Blue Springs, Missouri, where he attended Grain Valley High School. Afterward, he attended Crowder College, a junior college in Neosho, Missouri. In 2014, Misiorowski’s father, Tom, was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's disease. Jacob Misiorowski often wears special cleats featuring illustrations to honor his father. In 2022, Misiorowski got drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers and quickly became one of their top pitching prospects.

During the 2025 season, Misiorowski posted a 4.36 ERA with 116 strikeouts; however, it looks like it will be even better for him this year. Misiorowski's average fastball is around 99.9 miles per hour, which is 5.7 miles per hour faster than the MLB average. In an interview, Misiorowski was asked how fast he could really throw, and he responded, “I think 104, 105. I think I could touch 105.” Although his fastball is mostly talked about, he frequently throws a slider at about 94 to 97 miles per hour, which is what a hitter rarely expects. He also throws a changeup, curveball, and a cutter. In the 2026 season, Misiorowski leads the league with strikeouts and continues to push the team forward.

Jacob Misiorowski is an inspiration to many young baseball players. His motivation and determination are key reasons for his success. Misiorowski is closer than ever to breaking MLB records and is pushing the Brewers closer to winning a World Series.
