You may be familiar with owls hunting at night, but there is one owl that hunts during the day. This owl is known as the snowy owl.

The snowy owl can be found in different areas around the world. They usually enjoy living in the northern parts of North America, Europe and Asia. The snowy owl is about 27 inches tall and weighs about four to five pounds.

The snowy owl hunts animals like lemmings, which are small mouse-like animals. When hunting, the snowy owl pounces on its prey and digs its claws into the flesh before having a meal. The snowy owl eats birds and many different kinds of plants.

There are many more owl species in the world, such as the barn owl and the eastern screech owl. There are about 230 different kinds of owls. You might know some of them and their different lifestyles.

It’s amazing that there are so many types of owls. Snowy owls are a hoot to learn about!
