A Mysterious Monster Lurked in Ancient Seas

Not many people know about the mosasaurus. The mosasaurus lived during the Cretaceous period. They are not dinosaurs! They are reptiles. They have traits of mammals too.

Did you know the mosasaurus’ legs turned into flippers? Through adaptation, the mosasaurus’ legs turned into flippers, and their tails flattened, making them better swimmers. The mosasaurus is also called the T. rex of the deep. It is an apex predator of its surroundings, meaning it can defend itself from almost anything that tries to attack it.

It is good that the mosasaurus is extinct because if you ran into one, it would be bad.
